The Westin Taipei Hotel Review Part 2

The Westin Taipei hotel offers Starwood Platinum guests an option to have breakfast in the Westin Executive Club Lounge or at the lobby restaurant. I always opt for the restaurant because the offerings are generally larger and there’s much more to choose from. Some people like to have breakfast in a more private setting and the Westin Executive Club Lounge offers that.

The buffet spread at the Westin Taipei lobby restaurant was massive. Hot selections included noodles, sausages, baked beans, ham, bacon, Chinese vegetables, French toast, pancakes, hash browns, fish, and congee (jook).

There was also an omelet station where you can also order eggs any style.

There was also a dim sum station in addition to a noodle bar.

Cold selections include a salad bar, deli meats, and salmon.

There was also a cheese station with a large variety to choose from.

In addition, there was a bread station with assorted pastries.

Boxed cereal and cereal dispensers were also available.

There was also a small selection of desserts to choose from.

Whole fruit and mixed fruit were also available in addition to various fruit juices and milk. Soft drinks can be ordered complimentary from the waiter.

I had noodles, fish, hash browns, and dim sum which were delicious.

I also made my own beef and fish ball noodle soup topped with green onions which was delicious.

I was a bit turned off that the Westin Executive Club Lounge attendant didn’t let me take pictures, but other than that, I had an excellent stay at the Westin Taipei hotel. The one-bedroom suite was amazing and the service at the restaurant was great. The location was excellent since it was only a 4 minute walk to the nearby Nanjing East Road MRT station. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re a die-hard Starwood fan.
