Somewhere Between Omaha and Lincoln lies Strategic Air & Space

By Plush Adventures

A little off the beaten path, between Omaha and Lincoln, just off of I-80 is the Strategic Air and Space Museum. As you drive into the parking lot, you are welcomed by some of the power horses of the US intercontinental ballistic missile family.

The focus of the stopover today was to see the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, the fastest jet-powered aircraft in the world. What an amazing aircraft!

Following are a few other birds on display at the museum. If you are making your way across the heartland of America, the 330,000-sqft museum makes for a great pit stop.
