Where’s Very Good Points?

As the year draws towards an end, many are packing in last minute travel – and I’m no exception.   October saw an unexpected amount of domestic travel for me with trips to Chicago, Washington DC and this week, Dallas.  In November, I’ll spend time in London, Ireland and Copenhagen.

I spent my 100th night at Starwood this year at the W Lakeshore Chicago. They upgraded me to a corner suite and welcomed me with a perfect amenity – a bottle of sparkling water and fruit and cheese plate.   The views from the room were gorgeous, especially at night when Navy Pier was light up.

I also had a once-in-a-lifetime meal at Chicago’s The Girl & The Goat.  If you can get a reservation (they’re hard to come by) make sure you book! It’s an experience you don’t want to miss.  Pictured below, the Goat Empanada.  The best part? The company! I got to spend time with some amazing friends!

I’m headed to Dallas for Halloween and my first Element hotel stay of the year.  I’m looking forward to visiting friends and doing a little winter shopping.   A few days later I’ll be off to Europe for a little work and a little vacation.

I’ll spend 1 night in Paris at the Le Meridien, 5 days in London on Business and I’ll break with tradition by staying at a DoubleTree! Yep, that’s right, no Starwood hotel is even close to my budget so I have to branch out.  After that week in London I’ll spend 4 days in Copenhagen.  I’m excited for the winter markets.

If you have any recommendations for Copenhagen, I’d love to hear them!

After Copenhagen I’ll spend some family time for Thanksgiving in Atlanta and then I’m off to Hawaii for several weeks of Island Hoping. I’ll have plenty to write about in the next two months.

What are your travel plans?
