Park Plaza Orchid Tel Aviv Hotel Review

Angelina of Just Another Points Traveler booked the Park Plaza Orchid Tel Aviv Hotel using Club Carlson points. It costed her 44,000 Club Carlson points for a standard sea view room which is a complete bargain since the average rates go from $220-$300 a night.

If you have a car, you can park in a nearby lot for $15 USD overnight or use the hotel self parking which costs the same. When we checked into the hotel, the front desk agent assigned us a standard room with no upgrade as a Club Carlson Gold Elite member. When we went into the room, it felt like a standard European sized room that was not too large. The room contained a queen size bed, a small desk, coffee maker, and a complimentary bottle of water.

The bathroom was small and barely contained enough room for a shower, toilet, and sink. We were also provided with Park Plaza Orchid hotel branded toiletries.

The best part about this hotel room was the sea view of the beach.

The worst part of this hotel was the internet connection in our room. The WiFi signal only worked in the bathroom which was definitely #firstworldproblems. Angelina called the front desk to complain and the only answer was “There are a lot of people using the internet connection.” She called a second time to complain to see if we could switch rooms, but they refused. We were stuck hanging out in the bathroom working from our laptops and iPhones which was a hilarious situation.

I would not recommend this hotel for guests if you rely on any type of internet connection working from your room although he lobby WiFi was surprisingly fast. I would recommend this hotel if you have Club Carlson points to redeem since this hotel is quite pricey since it’s walking distance from the beach. Otherwise, I would recommend the Sheraton Tel Aviv as I have reviewed previously. The Park Plaza Orchid is walking distance to the beach, nightlife, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, and coffee shops.
