Points Summary

American Airlines JFK Flagship Lounge

Upon deplaning from my LAX-JFK flight, I headed to the Flagship Lounge located in Terminal 8. Luckily, my flight from JFK-HEL on Finnair was also departing from Terminal 8, so I was safe to hang out in the JFK Flagship Lounge.

Since I am an Executive Platinum member travelling on an international itinerary (any class), I had access to the exclusive JFK Flagship Lounge located within the Admiral’s Club near the TSA security checkpoint.

Contrary to the LAX Flagship lounge, the JFK Flagship Lounge is always packed. I’ve been to this Flagship Lounge many times and I’ve always seen it crowded and sometimes overcrowded, especially near the buffet area.

There is a small business center set up with computers for use. In addition, there is a printer and fax machine if you need to use it.

It was 3:30pm and at this time, dinner was not yet being served. Instead, there was an Afternoon Tea menu in the Flagship Café.

Afternoon Tea consisted of miniature sandwiches, cookies, pastries, and chicken noodle soup.

There was also a large selection of alcoholic beverages on the counter-top, whereas the non-alcoholic beverages were in the fridges below.

I wasn’t that hungry and the afternoon tea didn’t look appetizing, so I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup.
