American Airlines LAX Flagship Lounge Review

I’ve written about the American Airlines LAX Flagship Lounge here, here, and most recently here. For trip report continuity reasons, I am reviewing it again since it was my most recent visit and food items might have been changed.

It was early in the morning and I had just gotten to the Admiral’s Club at LAX at 5am. The Flagship Lounge doesn’t open until 5:15am. I was granted access because of my Executive Platinum status on American Airlines and I was on an international itinerary.

I was pretty much the first and only one in the lounge for the first thirty minutes, so the lounge was empty and there was plenty of available seating.

There is a small business center with computers and a printer.

There are also cool lounge chairs with an ottoman and music players with headphones.

The buffet spread was during breakfast and the menu reads as follows:

The cold spread consisted of berries, cereal, whole fruit, granola bars, mixed nuts, bagels, and pastries.

The hot selections were buckeye oatmeal, waffles, eggs, potatoes, and chicken sausage.

The alcoholic beverages were not out at this time, but there was a whole fridge full of cold water, juices, and soft drinks.

I wasn’t hungry that morning and had eggs, potatoes, and sausage.

The breakfast is nothing to write home about as the eggs were tasteless and the potatoes were a bit hard. The chicken sausage was good, but overall the breakfast is disappointing if you only like hot selections.
