The Various Eats in Nice France

Restaurants in Nice have predominately French cuisine infused with herbs and olive oil. The regional French Riviera cuisine is also known for fresh seafood and fish. There are many other types of international cuisine in Nice as well and of course there’s fast food. This article isn’t a comprehensive list of things to eat in Nice since I only stayed here for one night.

There are many outdoor restaurants and cafes located in Plaza Garibaldi.

You can also find many sidewalk French cafes along the main streets of Av. Felix Faure, Av. de Verdun, and Bd Jean Jaures.

There are also more restaurants in the narrow streets and alleyways of Nice.

50 percent of the restaurants in the narrow streets are fast food. In the alleyways, you can find gelato, Subway, and even grocery stores selling 1.95 euro bottles of wine.

I had dinner at the Le Meridien Nice and wrote a review about it here.

For breakfast, I had light snacks such as French Macarons from Mcdonalds and a Bretzel (pretzel) from a local bakery.

The food prices in Nice aren’t particularly bad at all. There are many reasonable entrée prices, but don’t let it give you a sticker shock. Remember, the prices include tax and gratuity.
