Le Meridien Nice Hotel Review Part 1

This is a two part review of the Le Meridien Nice hotel. Part 1 will focus on the room itself and Part 2 will focus on the dining aspects (breakfast and dinner). I took the public bus in front of Sainte Devote church from Monaco to Nice for a few euros. The journey took 45 minutes, but it was well worth it because a taxi would have been at least 100 euros. The last stop on the bus to Nice is Plaza Garibaldi which is the main square in town.

From Plaza Garibaldi, I walked to the Le Meridien Nice and it took about 15 minutes.

I booked the hotel using 17,900 American Airlines miles. The hotel was going for over 300 euros per night which was outrageous, so I used miles. The front desk agent quickly checked me in and informed me there were no suite upgrades because the hotel was absolutely sold out.

I went up to my standard room with a city and sea view of Promenade des Anglais. The room contained two twin beds which makes a King bed.

There was also a small seating area with a table which was pretty unique for a standard room. In addition, there was a mounted LCD TV.

The bathroom was quite small, but ergonomic and functional.

The minibar was prices were outrageous. Who charges 6 euros for a condom?

The best part about the room was the beautiful view of Nice and the Promenade des Anglais where I was plane spotting.
