Residence St-James Geneva Hotel Review

I booked the Residence St-James Geneva hotel for 125CHF ~ $139.59 USD with taxes included on easytobook.com. If you don’t know by now, hotel prices in Geneva, Switzerland are always sky high. I really wanted to stay at the President Wilson Hotel in Geneva, but the rates were over $500 a night which was absurd. After much time spent on researching hotels, I settled on booking a small studio with free wifi and a full kitchen at the Residence St. James Geneva.

I walked from Geneva Cornavin main train station to the Residence St. James hotel. It was a 20 minute walk, but well worth it since you get to cross the beautiful Lake Geneva and stroll on the quaint streets of Geneva to the hotel.

I got to the hotel around noon and check-in was swift. The front desk agent gave me a suite at the top floor.

My studio suite contained a kitchen with a microwave and a small dining room table.

The studio contained a huge living room and the beds came out of the wall which is called a murphy bed. When the two twin beds came out of the wall, there was hardly any space in the living room.

There was also a TV in the living room area and an additional twin murphy bed in a separate bedroom. I opted to sleep in the separate bedroom instead.

The bathroom was quite small with no frills, but functional.

The best part about the room was the kitchen since I got the chance to beat the high dining prices by buying my own meal and cooking on my own stove.

I would recommend staying at this hotel again since it could be the cheapest suite option in the Geneva area. It’s close to many attractions within walking distance and I only took the tram back to the airport. The hotel provides a free public transportation card during your entire stay. At 125CHF for a suite in Geneve, Switzerland, it really can’t be beat with a great location and free Wi-Fi.
