Points Summary

American Airlines LAX Flagship Lounge

When I went into the Admiral’s Club in Terminal 4 of LAX, I showed the agent my usual boarding pass. As I went up through the elevator, I just realized that I am flying on an international itinerary because I’m connecting in Miami to get to Bogota. I went up to the agent upstairs and asked her for access to the coveted American Airlines Flagship Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport T4.

I handed my boarding pass to the agent and she chatted up with me asking if I was Japanese, which was weird. I told her I was Chinese and she said, “Ohhhhh, Welcome”.

As usual, the Flagship Lounge has plenty of seating and it’s almost never packed.

There is also a small business center equipped with computers.

If you’re hungry, be prepared by the large buffet spread which consists of cereal, fruit, yogurt, mixed nuts, granola bars, and bagels.

Hot items include oatmeal, waffles (using the waffle maker), eggs, sausage, and potatoes.

Even though it was during breakfast time, liquor is plentiful and self-serve. There is even an espresso machine and a large selection of juices, water, and soft drinks to select from the fridge.

I was not that hungry so I had eggs, sausage, and potatoes which were decent tasting. By no means is this meal a gourmet breakfast, but adequate. I washed my meal down with a nice ice cold coke with lime.
