Cerro de Monserrate is a mountain located in the city center of Bogota, Colombia. To access the top of the mountain for the best views of Bogota, you would need to take a taxi (or bus) to the base of Cerro de Monserrate and take a funicular (or hike). This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bogota, so be sure to arrive early to beat the crowds. The best day to go is when the weather is clear and not raining.

I arrived at 11am and sure enough, there was already a line formation.

The cost is 7,900 Colombian pesos ~ $4.19 USD for a round-trip ticket which gives you access to the funicular (cable car) up the mountain of Cerro de Monserrate.

Once you reach the top of the mountain, you get access to the beautiful grounds of Cerro de Monserate. There are restrooms and restaurants available if you see yourself spending a lot of time here.

There is a beautiful wishing well and religious monuments.

All roads lead up to the beautiful and magnificent church.

The insides of the church contained stained glass windows and several religious figures.

The best part about Cerro de Monserrate is the amazing views it has to offer.
