The first part of the Radisson Guatemala City hotel review was about the Junior Suite and the room mishaps. This is Part 2 where I will review the food and beverage options at the hotel. There are many places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. It’s relatively safe to walk around Zona Viva which is the safest zone in Guatemala City.

I was offered a coupon at check-in for a complimentary alcoholic beverage and breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant.
I had my complimentary Mojito Chapin at the hotel’s lobby bar restaurant. It was a bit too sweet and I really didn’t taste the mint leaves for some reason, but it was pretty strong.
Breakfast was held at the hotel’s main restaurant located on the second floor above the main lobby. The breakfast spread consisted of hot options like empanadas, samosas, beans, and plantains.
There was also an omelet station for made to the order omelets.
The cold buffet spread options consisted of various meats, cheeses, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bread, and various fruit juices.
I had a little bit of everything from the hot options and it was delicious.
Despite the room mishaps earlier, I feel the Radisson Guatemala City hotel is a great option in Zona Viva. There aren’t many luxury hotels in this area and the only other one is the Intercontinental Real Guatemala City and the Westin Guatemala City. The hotel did put me off in two ways though. Not being able to add my Club Carlson Gold number to my third party stay was a big turn off. The room mishap was also a huge ordeal that shouldn’t even be an issue in the first place. To this date, they still have not fixed the website to reflect what a Junior Suite really is.
