La Aurora International Airport Los Anejos Lounge

The La Aurora International Airport or Guatemala City International Airport (GUA) is very small and doesn’t have many lounges. In fact there are only two VIP lounges in GUA airport which is the Los Anejos and the Copa Club, both located in the international terminal.

Finding the lounge is tricky because you have to take an elevator to the second floor. The elevator is located inside an alcohol shop which can make it hard to find.

Once upstairs, I showed the Los Anejos lounge agent my Priority Pass card which granted me access to the facility. The lounge also accepts Lounge Club members.

My first impression of the Los Anejos lounge is that it looked like a tequila tasting place. There was literally tons of tequila bottles decorated all over the lounge. The lounge is relatively small, but there was plenty of seating when I went.

The bar area was filled with plenty of hard liquor displays. Bear in mind that you only get three complimentary drinks (not sure if it’s enforced), so it’s wise to get 3 tequila based drinks.

You can also order complimentary real hot food which you can inquire with the lounge staff. I went in during breakfast hours and I was informed that I could order eggs, ham, and toast. Unfortunately it took quite a while (15 minutes) and I had to be at my gate soon, so I told them to give it to someone else. All I had was just a Coke, but I’m sure the food varies throughout the day.
