I was walking west on Calle Palma and headed north towards the river where I found a very quiet Plaza de Los Desaparecidos.

There were no street vendors hawking wares and it was peace at least with views of the Rio Paraguay (Paraguayan River).

Next door to Plaza de Los Desaparecidos was Palacio de los López which is the Presidential Palace.

Nearby were government buildings such as the Direccion Nacional de Aduanas Potestad Aduanera.

I headed towards the Asuncion Port where the neighborhood looked a little rough.

The streets were in complete disrepair with lots of political street murals.

There were also protests outside the Port of Asuncion.

There are a few restaurants nearby the Asuncion Port which were housed in shacks that serve local authentic Paraguayan food.

There were also shopping colonnades nearby such as Galeria Colon and Galeri Yga Rupa.
