San Cristobal Tower Santiago Hotel Review

 

I booked the San Cristobal Tower Santiago Hotel for 4,800 Starpoints and $90 before the March 1st Starwood Cash & Points devaluation. The San Cristobal Tower belongs to Starwood’s Luxury Collection of hotels and is located within the Sheraton Santiago Hotel & Convention Center so it was an easy move. I utilized 4pm late checkout from the Sheraton Santiago and checked in to the San Cristobal Tower a minute later.

To access the check-in area, you need to find the sliding glass doors to the left of the Sheraton Santiago lobby.

The front desk agent notified me that my suite night award upgrade went through and that I was confirmed in a one bedroom suite. I chose 500 Starpoints as my Platinum amenity because we were going to have breakfast elsewhere in the morning. There is no Club Lounge at this hotel, but there is a manager’s reception during the evening at 21 Bar & Lounge.

I went up to the suite and was amazed at the size of the room and it has an old world historic charm to it. The large spacious living room had a sofa and a dining table that seats four.

There was a welcome fruit amenity on the dining room table with a personalized letter.

The bedroom area was just as spacious as the living room with an executive work desk.

The bathroom was marble and contained Luxury Collection amenities.

During the evening, I went to 21 Bar & Lounge for the complimentary manager’s reception available to Platinum guests. It was a small spread that contained Chilean Sea Bass, various meats and cheeses, and a handful of desserts. Pisco Sours were also complimentary and available to consume.

The service at the San Cristobal Tower was amazing and the staff goes out of their way to ensure a high customer satisfaction. Before arrival, I received an e-mail from the General Manager asking if I needed anything before arrival. During the stay, I made a small complaint about the water system on the previous night at the Sheraton Santiago (which also affected the San Cristobal Tower) and they notified the General Manager of the Sheraton. I received a personalized apology letter at the San Cristobal Tower from the General Manager of the nearby Sheraton Santiago and thought that was a nice touch.
