American Airlines JFK Flagship Lounge

Last year, I reviewed the American Airlines JFK Flagship Lounge during Afternoon Tea which was from 2:30pm – 5:00pm. This time, I went during the evening hours when the Flagship Dinner was being served from 5:00pm – 8:00pm.

The JFK Flagship Lounge is located to the right of the iconic “Big Apple”. You will have to follow the signs for the Admirals Club which is on the second floor.

I was granted access to the American Airlines JFK Flagship Lounge because I was an Executive Platinum member traveling on an international itinerary.

I’ve been to the JFK Flagship Lounge countless times and it always seems to be packed during the evening hours. This is because there are so many Executive Platinums and Business Class passengers departing for international destinations at night. Sometimes it’s hard to find an empty seat next to an available power outlet.

One of the main reasons I love the JFK Flagship Lounge is because of their extensive and delicious buffet spread.

The Flagship Café Supper menu reads as follows:

Soup du Jour (Minestrone and Chili)  – Served with assorted Rolls and Crackers

Entrée – Pecan Crusted Pork Chop w/ Spicy Apple & Whiskey Sauce / Glazed Tri Colored Carrots / Citrus & Chive Mashed Potatoes

Fresh Corn Salad / Orange & Jicama Slice / Ceasar Salad / Grilled Chicken

Selection of Artisan Cheese and Desserts

There was a whole slew of beverages in the fridge below including beer. A coffee maker was also available.

In addition, there is an extensive self-pour liquor selection including Grey Goose and Patron.

I had a little bit of everything where I started off with a salad with corn and grilled chicken.

I tried out both Minestrone and Chili soup which was delicious.

I finished off my meal with the pecan crusted pork chop, glazed tri colored carrots, and citrus & chive mashed potatoes. I washed it down with a coke with three limes even though there was a lime shortage at that time.

Afterwards, I took a quick refreshing shower in the JFK Flagship Lounge before my flight to Rio de Janeiro.
