Etihad Airways Chauffeur Service to LAX Airport

I had a chance to try out the Etihad Airways Chauffeur Service to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for free because I was on a First Class award ticket from Los Angeles to Abu Dhabi (LAX-AUH). Furthermore, chauffeur service is also available complimentary when arriving at Abu Dhabi and will take you anywhere in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to Etihad’s website, Etihad Chauffeur service is available to the following guests:

– Guests holding tickets with confirmed reservations in First or Business Class.
– Etihad Chauffeur is available to Etihad Guest members redeeming their miles on First and Business class.
– Guests travelling on Etihad Airways operated flights (although holding other airline tickets), are eligible for Etihad Chauffer service.

I tried booking the Etihad Chauffer on the website, but it kept giving me an error, so I had to call it in. It was quite simple mentioning my Booking reference number and the agent on the phone told me that I would be notified by a third party company.

A day before scheduled departure to the airport, I received a phone call from Empire CLS which is a third party company who provides Chauffeured Hospitality services. They just wanted to confirm my chauffeur reservation and told me when I would be expecting the driver.

On the day of departure (4 hours before scheduled departure), the driver rolled up in a brand new Cadillac Escalade.

I was completely shocked and had never been picked up in any type of luxury vehicle to go to the airport. I usually take an Uber to Get from Downtown Los Angeles to LAX Airport or Free LAX Airport Parking on the street.

The driver helped me put my bags in the trunk of his vehicle.

When I stepped into the Cadillac Escalade, I couldn’t help but notice the iPad in front of me. It was basically an entertainment center which was pretty awesome.

There were also complimentary bottles of Fiji waters, assorted chips, and mints.

I talked to the driver throughout the quick 30 minute trip to LAX and he mentioned that he typically picks up celebrities to events in this type of vehicle. Note that the driver works for Empire CLS and not Etihad Airways. He was definitely professional in appearance and his attitude was positive and kind throughout the entire trip.
