The hotel was pretty easy to find. I got off at Tin Hau and then once on the main road, I looked up and saw the Rosedale sign on top of one of the large buildings. You can see one of the road signs below.
When entering into the lobby, it was very nice. It was on the 1st floor with a long set of escalators up to the lobby area. There are three elevators that go all the way to the ground floor from the guest rooms. I found this hotel to be reasonably priced and had a great location on Hong Kong Island so I booked it on Hotels.com.
There were a few different types of room. Luckily, I checked in late and they ran out of regular rooms so they gave me an executive room. My original booking was for a standard room and I managed to book it for under $120. The room I got was the top tier and it went for about $165, so it wasn’t a huge upgrade but any upgrade is nice.
It was two double beds pushed together, which wasn’t a big deal for me. The internet was pretty quick. There wasn’t a view out of the window as it was facing the next building.
Below you will see some of the complementary bathroom amenities. The shower was nice and strong, and sorely needed after flying for about 20 hours or so from Boston.
The next morning, I went down to check out the gym. It is open 24 hours but it was quite small. I figure that not many people would go and use it. There was a computer if you wanted internet access.
Overall it was a good solid property with a great location and price. This would also be an ideal hotel for the Hong Kong Marathon as it is only a few blocks away from Victoria Park, where the marathon ends.
