I chose to stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Colonia Roma hotel in Mexico City because it was conveniently close to a metro station and it was my first time staying there. Previously, I’ve stayed at other Starwood hotels in the area such as the W Mexico City, Sheraton Maria Isabel Mexico City, and the Le Meridien Mexico City hotel. I booked the hotel for $95 USD + taxes on a BRG rate invoking Starwood’s Best Rate Guarantee.

My flight into Mexico City arrived at 6am and I wanted to see if I could get an early check in at around 8am. I wanted to give it a shot, so I tweeted at SPG to let them know if they could call the property to see if I could check-in early. I took the Mexico City metro from MEX airport to Ninos Heroes station where it was a 10 minute walk to the hotel.
When I walked into the hotel, I was surprised that it was even a Four Points by Sheraton property. The lobby looked very upscale with modern furniture.
It was super early in the morning and I approached the front desk agent to see if I could check-in. To my surprise, they said a room was available and that I could check in at that time. I pushed my luck further and asked if there were any suite upgrades available. The front desk agent said yes, a Junior Suite is available (I was very giddy at this point).
The Junior Suite consisted of a large desk with a TV, an oversized plush red chair, and a King size bed.
The bathroom area consisted of a double basin sink with amenities such as bar soap, lotion, razor, and toothbrush, and toothpaste.
The bathroom also had a standing shower with a shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner dispenser built into the wall.
The best part about the room was the heart shaped jetted Jacuzzi in the center of the room.
The location of the Four Points by Sheraton Colonia Roma is not as central as the other Starwood hotels located on Paseo de la Reforma. However, the property is a breath of fresh air and feels like you’re more in a local part of town. The hotel is in a quaint neighborhood called Colonia Roma adjacent to Colonia Condesa. The hotel is located 10 minutes away walking distance from the Mexico City metro and it can get you anywhere you want.
