Sheraton Buenos Aires and Convention Center Hotel Review

I’ve previously stayed twice this year at the Sheraton Buenos Aires and Convention Center Hotel. My first stay was in a Premier Suite due to a SPG Platinum upgrade. My second stay resulted in obtaining a San Martin Suite (Presidential Suite) upgrade. I paid $119.01 plus taxes on a Starwood BRG rate which was fantastic. I further reduced the price by paying in cash by taking advantage of the Argentine Black Market.

It was a 15 minute walk from the Sheraton Libertador to the Sheraton Buenos Aires and Convention Center hotel.

I went up to the club level to try and check-in, but no one was available. There was a sign that said, “Please check in at the lobby.” I was delighted to see a familiar face at check-in (who gave me the previous Presidential Suite upgrade). She had remembered me from my previous stays and was delighted to upgrade me to the San Martin Presidential Suite again. I was floored and excited at the same time because there is only one San Martin suite at this hotel.

Here is a video I took of the San Martin Presidential Suite on the 23rd floor, Room 2310.

The beautiful foyer contained an ornate mirror, clock, and a vase.

There was also a half bathroom in the hallway.

The living room consisted of plenty of couches, a TV, sculpture, and a dining table with seating for six.

There was also a complimentary bottle of wine as my welcome amenity.

There was also a small wet bar which consisted of a toaster, coffee maker, microwave, and sink.

The bedroom consisted of a TV, executive work desk, and a King size bed.

There was a walk in closet that connected to the bathroom.

The bathroom consisted of a double basin sink with the usual Sheraton bath amenities, toilet with bidet, and a standing shower.

The best part about the bathroom was the long rectangular jetted bathtub.

The Sheraton Club Lounge was under renovations and sent all their Platinum guests to the connecting Park Tower hotel for breakfast and evening appetizers.

The evening appetizers consisted of bread, various cheeses, cakes, fruit, and small dessert bites.

I didn’t partake in breakfast at the Park Tower hotel because I was running out of time. By now, the Sheraton should have renovated their Club Lounge.

This is one of my all-time favorite Sheratons in the world because of the price, Platinum treatment, and of course, suite upgrades. Without using Suite Night Awards, I was upgraded three times (out of 3), once to a Premier Suite and twice to the San Martin Presidential Suite. The location can’t be beat because there’s a subway metro station right across the street from the hotel. The main train station in Retiro is also right across the street from the Sheraton and Park Tower hotel.
