The Sights and Sounds of Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires

Puerto Madero is the port neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina which is the newest part of town. It’s the most upscale neighborhood in Buenos Aires containing swanky hotels, high rise condos, and plenty of fine dining restaurants. On my first visit to Puerto Madero, I only visited the casino during the night time. This time around, I had time to fully explore what the Puerto Madero was all about.

I was tired of walking all day and decided to splurge for a taxi instead. On my previous experience with a Buenos Aires taxi, the driver was falling asleep on the wheel and ran red lights. Taking a taxi in Buenos Aires during the day time was much safer.

Puerto Madero is basically divided by two sides which is connected by a walkway bridge.

The taxi dropped me off at the port side of Puerto Madero which was right in the middle of the Madero Center Shops.

There is a plethora of upscale restaurants and swanky cafes along the Puerto Madero shopping walkway.

The best part about Puerto Madero is the incredible views of the port city.

Across the bridge are more swanky street side restaurants and boutique shops.
