The Sights and Sounds of Catedral da Se in Sao Paulo

This was my 4th time in beautiful Sao Paulo and I just can’t get enough of this vibrant cosmopolitan city. I love how the city of Sao Paulo has an incredibly easy to use metro system and I was set off the explore Downtown Sao Paulo.

I was at the very western end of Sao Paulo in a neighborhood called Morumbi having lunch at MorumbiShopping and wanted to get to Downtown Sao Paulo. There were lots of unauthorized vendors selling counterfeit World Cup merchandise outside the Morumbi light rail station.

I was quite surprised there was easy to read signage to direct visitors to Arena Corinthians (Sao Paulo Arena).

I was headed towards Downtown Sao Paulo and had to transfer at the Pinheiros metro station (yellow line) to get Republica station.

Again, I was shocked that there was actual World Cup signage directing visitors to the World Cup Fan Fest and Arena Corinthians.

I got off at Republica station where I walked to Anhangabaú Valley where FIFA Fan Fest was being held. It was still early, but I wanted to check out what was going on in the area. There was a Brazilian Musician and Dancer in Centro São Paulo and here’s the video I made:

Afterwards, I walked to Catedral da Se de Sao Paulo (São Paulo Cathedral) where there was a live musical performance in front of the church.

There was a group of Croatia fans mingling with the performers and a lone Brazil fan.

Eventually they met up and took a group picture together.
