This was my second time flying on GOL Airlines in a week since flying from Sao Paulo to Curitiba’s Afonso Pena International Airport (GRU-CWB). This time I was flying on GOL Airlines from Curitiba to Belo Horizonte’s Tancredo Neves International Airport (CWB-CNF) and the flight time was 1 hour and 15 minutes for a 525 mile flight.

I bought the flight from Curitiba to Belo Horizonte on GOL’s own website for $105.32 USD because it was much less expensive than booking on Orbitz.com. I added my Delta Gold Medallion number to my reservation to earn Skymiles since they are partners with GOL Airlines.
After hanging out at the TAM Oneworld Lounge at CWB Airport, I headed towards security. I noticed there was a Preferential Lane (Linha Preferencial) but I wasn’t sure if I could use it since I was a Delta SkyTeam Elite Plus member.
My flight G3 1124 to Belo Horizonte was slightly delayed and I noticed a passenger near the departure gate playing with a World Cup soccer ball.
The economy class cabin of the Boeing 737-700 was in a 3-3 configuration.
Even though I was seated in GOL+ Conforto (Economy Comfort), seat 3D did not offer much legroom.
After the flight reached cruising altitude, I noticed there was a menu (Cardapio) of some sort. The menu reads as follows:
Sandwiches for R$13 ~ $4.59 USD
– White sub roll with sesame seeds topping, cream cheese, salami and cheese
– White sub roll with parmesan topping, cream cheese, sliced turkey breast and mozzarella cheese
– Multigrain rye sub roll, pesto sauce, low fat sliced turkey breast, white cheese and roasted tomato
Snacks for R$5 ~ $1.76 USD
– Potato Chips, Bagel Chips, Crème Filled Cake, Chocolate, Cookies, and Cashew Nuts
There were also four different combos with a sandwich, cake, and beverage for R$15 – R$20 ~ ($5.29 USD – $7.06 USD).
Beverages for R$5 ~ $1.76 USD
– Soft drink, Nectar Juice, Iced Tea, Chocolate Milk, Flavored Sparkling Water – H2OH!, and Beer
Beverages for R$3 – R$5 ~ ($1.06 USD – $1.76 USD)
– Cappuccino, Coffee with Milk, Hot Chocolate, and Instant Coffee
Red wine was available for R$15 ~ $5.29 USD and Instant Soup for R$5 ~ $1.76 USD.
I settled for a bag of Ruffles chips for R$5 ~ $1.76 USD and a complimentary glass of water.
Shortly after landing at Belo Horizonte International Airport, we had to wait for a remote bus to meet our plane because we had to be shuttled to the main terminal.
During the bus ride, there were many eager Colombian fans onboard since there was a Colombia v. Greece match that same day.
I also had tickets to match and was a bit frustrated because of the continued delays. It also didn’t help that the match was in an hour and a half. Furthermore, it takes about 45 minutes to get from CNF International Airport to Centro Belo Horizonte by bus or taxi, so everyone was in a hurry.
After flying the GOL Airlines segment from CWB-CNF, I received credit on Delta for the flight. I earned 525 Medallion Qualifying Miles in addition to 525 redeemable Skymiles.
