Narita Airport Satellite Terminal 2 JAL First Class Lounge

Note that there are two areas in Narita International Airport’s Terminal 2 called the Satellite Building and the Main Building which is connected by a walkway. The Japan Airlines First Class Lounge is located right next to the Sakura Lounge in the Satellite Building.

I was able to get into the JAL First Class Lounge because I am an oneworld emerald member. Oneworld sapphires have to use the nearby sister lounge, called the Sakura Lounge which is a Business Class Lounge.

I immediately asked for a shower room and the shower attendants checked me in.

It was probably the smallest airport lounge shower room I’ve ever been to. There isn’t even a toilet. The bath amenities are in the shower in the form of a dispenser.

Since this is a First Class Lounge, it’s less busy than the Business Class Lounge (Sakura).

There are a few chairs in the lounge to do some plane spotting.

There’s also a business center equipped with computers and a fax machine. There are also rooms where you can talk privately on your cell phone without disturbing others.

The food consisted of cookies, Kit Kat bars, chocolate morsels, rice crackers, candy, and a small assortment of cheese trays.

There was an espresso machine available along with tea bags.

There are plenty of juices, soda from the soda machine, liquor, sake, and wine.

The lounge is also equipped with an automatic Japanese beer dispenser.

The food was the most disappointing aspect of the “First Class” lounge. If you want to grab all you can eat sushi, head over to the Sakura Lounge. You would think the First Class Lounge in the Satellite Building would serve First Class food. Do come to this lounge for the upscale décor, shower, and business amenities, but not the food.
