Narita Airport Main Building JAL First Class Lounge

There are so many oneworld lounges to choose from at Narita International Airport’s Terminal 2. There are two separate areas of the terminal which is the Main Building and the Satellite Building, both connected by a walkway. I’ve previously reviewed 3 lounges in the Main Building such as the American Airlines Admirals Club, Cathay Pacific First & Business Class Lounge, and the JAL First Class Lounge. I’ve also previously reviewed 3 lounges in the Satellite Building such as the JAL Sakura Business Class Lounge, JAL First Class Lounge, and the Qantas Business Class Lounge. This review is for the JAL First Class Lounge in the Main Building.

Even though I’ve previously reviewed the JAL First Class Lounge in the Main Building, I was disappointed to learn there was no sushi available in the First Class Lounge. I’ve also found that the JAL First Class Lounge in the Satellite Building does not serve sushi as well, so I re-visited this lounge to check up on the ‘sushi situation’.

I was able to access the Japan Airlines First Class Lounge because I was flying on a First Class ticket. Oneworld emerald customers flying in any cabin class also have access to the JAL First Class Lounge.

My flight from Tokyo’s Narita to Los Angeles was departing in the evening and there was plenty of seating in the First Class Lounge.

The buffet spread was extensive and consisted of ‘decoration sushi’, pasta salad, corn, dessert sweets, Japanese side dishes, saran wrap sandwiches, soup, bread, hot pasta, assorted dim sum, rice, Japanese pickled side dishes, miso soup, cookies, and chocolate morsels.

Beverages included a coffee machine with water and various juices in the refrigerator.

Alcoholic beverages such as wines and spirits were also available.

The best thing about the lounge was the automated Japanese beer machine which pours a perfect pint each and every time.

I had a little bit of everything such as rice, veggies, pasta, dim sum, and a Japanese side dish.

I washed it down with Japanese miso soup and a glass of Rose champagne.

I was disappointed with the ‘decoration sushi’ and it’s quite alarming since this is a First Class Lounge.

My go to lounge from now on at Narita International Airport’s Terminal 2 will be the JAL Sakura Business Class Lounge in the Satellite Building since I can get my sushi fix there.
