The Various Eats in Buenos Aires Argentina

Argentina is famous for their gastronomy and I tried to eat as much local food as possible in Buenos Aires. One of the main components of an Argentine’s diet is the love for meat. You can’t come to Buenos Aires without having steak and they come in many different varieties. I spent three nights and four days in Buenos Aires, so I did my fair share of eating throughout my time in Argentina. Here are some of the typical local foods you can expect in Buenos Aires.

Start breakfast with a cup of coffee with milk (café con leche) at Café Martinez which is the basic local Starbucks chain. Each order of coffee comes with cookies and a small cup of water (don’t ask me why).

You can’t miss having dessert in Buenos Aires as there are many heladerias (ice cream shops). I went to Binnen Heladeria and Cafe in Recoleta and ordered a dulce de leche ice cream which was absolutely to die for.
