Alaska Airlines MEX-LAX 737-800 First Class

I’ve previously flown on Alaska Airlines from Mexico City to Los Angeles in First Class. I booked my one-way ticket using 10,000 British Airways Avios and added my Delta Gold Medallion number (Skyteam Elite Plus). Prior to 24 hours of check-in, I requested a complimentary upgrade to First Class and it cleared right away.

My flight was super early for a 6:20am boarding time so I had to leave the hotel at 5am. There was no one in the MVP elite line which made it easy for me to get my boarding pass printed.

The 737-800 First Class cabin is a 2-2 configuration which is a recliner seat.

ASlaxmex2

I don’t know why, but I just love sitting in the bulkhead aisle. There’s just something about sitting in row 1.

ASlaxmex3

I was offered water as a pre-departure beverage.

ASlaxmex4

Shortly after takeoff, the flight attendant took drink orders and I had a cranberry vodka with lime.

ASlaxmex5

Breakfast consisted of eggs and beans with a warm flour tortilla.

ASlaxmex6

The flight was only three hours which and I slept right after the meal service. I woke up to this amazing view of Terminal 4/5 at LAX while taxiing to the Alaska terminal.
