Buenos Aires EZE Airport Star Alliance Lounge

I visited three lounges at Buenos Aires’ Ezezia International Airport (EZE) and one of them was the Star Alliance Lounge. If you’re flying on a Star Alliance carrier you can access the lounge if you’re flying in Business or First Class. Alternatively, you can access the lounge if you have Star Alliance Gold status and flying in any cabin within the Star Alliance network of carriers.

I was flying on LAN Airlines, a member of the oneworld Alliance so I didn’t have access. However, I noticed that the Star Alliance Lounge was a Priority Pass lounge. I was able to enter due to having a Priority Pass Select Card from the American Express Platinum card.

The lounge was relatively quiet, although not empty during the late afternoon. There was plenty of seating available.

There was also a newspaper and magazine selection near the front of the check in desk.

The buffet spread consisted of pasta, meats, cheeses, chips, nuts, crackers, salad bar, and toast.

There was an espresso machine, fountain drinks, and a fridge full of beer.

There was also hard liquor and wine available.

I had the pasta dish and it was absolutely disgusting. The pasta was way overcooked (almost falling apart) and the sauces were super bland. The sauce was watery and almost inedible.

I wouldn’t recommend this lounge for the food spread, but it does have a relaxing home atmosphere to it. They definitely need to step up their game on their food options if they want to compete with the LAN Oneworld Lounge. However I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon.
