JW Marriott Mexico City Hotel Review

I spent two nights at the JW Marriott Mexico City hotel for free because of the 2013 Fall Marriott Megabonus promotion. The hotel is located in the swanky Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City which is right next door to the W Mexico City hotel.

I took the subway from Mexico City International Airport to the Auditorio metro station where it was a 5 minute walk to the hotel.

This was my first time staying at a JW Marriott property and I didn’t know what to expect, but the lobby looked pretty nice.

The front desk agent advised me that I was staying on points. I have no elite status with Marriott whatsoever, so I wasn’t expecting any upgrades. I put my credit card down for incidentals and was well on my way to my standard room.

The standard room was pretty small and basic, but functional. There was a cabinet which housed a TV, an executive desk, a lounge chair with ottoman, and a king size bed.

The bathroom was small, basic, and functional just like the room.

The best part about the room was the free Wi-Fi internet. It was fast and functional which is what I expected most out of this hotel. The rates at this hotel seem to start at $179+taxes, so this is a great property to use points or your free night certificates.
