Balvanera is a large neighborhood located south of Barrio Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Balvanera has three separate sub neighborhoods (barrios) which are Abasto, Once, and Congreso. Balvanera is a working class neighborhood where you can find very inexpensive food and shopping. There is also a huge black market with counterfeit goods on the streets of Balvanera.

There are many low cost eateries all over Balvanera and it’s a local’s favorite for inexpensive food.
Barrio Congreso is where you can find the Argentine National Congress in Plaza del Congreso.
