Sheraton Buenos Aires and Convention Center Hotel Review Part 3

The Club Lounge at the Sheraton Buenos Aires and Convention Center Hotel is currently being renovated. I was advised that Platinum guests can use the nearby connected Park Tower Hotel’s club lounge for evening appetizers and breakfast. When I found out about this, I was happy because the Park Tower is part of Starwood’s Luxury Collection brand. That means the food is more upscale and the service tends to be top notch.

During my first stay at this hotel, I went to the lounge at the Park Tower for evening appetizers. It was actually more of a dessert fest.

The desserts consisted of various types of cakes, fruits, and tarts.

I had a coke which was served in a wine glass from a bottle.

I had a fruit cup with fruit tarts along with a delicious chocolate cake with strawberries.

I was disappointed that there wasn’t any hot food available during the “evening appetizers” portion of the lounge. I’m not a big fan of dessert myself. On my first stay, I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so I decided to try on my second stay. That didn’t turn out well because there was a long line for breakfast during my second stay. I did not have time to waste to put my name down at the Park Tower’s “club lounge”. I mean, who waits for a table at a hotel club lounge? Clearly, the Sheraton needs to finish up the renovations of their club lounge quickly since the Park Tower can’t handle the overflow. I politely told the server that I was going to eat somewhere else and she offered to pack a “to-go” breakfast. I politely declined but asked for a to-go beverage and she complied.

Overall, service at the Sheraton Buenos Aires and the Park Tower was top notch despite the breakfast hiccup. The club level front desk agents were amazing with their personalized and attentive service. I couldn’t have had a better stay with the Premiere Suite and the Presidential San Martin Suite. The hotel is in a fantastic neighborhood of Retiro which is within a 5 minute walk to the Subte (underground subway). I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Argentina next month.
